Joan Lewis
Joan LewisMD, RN

I have been in healthcare for more than 45 years, starting as the receptionist and back office assistant in a private family physician’s office, through being an RN caregiver and administrative consultant to outpatient surgicenters and outpatient facilities. After graduating from UCLA Medical School, I have been a physician with years of experience in all aspects of the healthcare field - now establishing an independent healthcare facility where healthcare options are guided by measured outcome results. Fields outside of traditional medicine include homeopathic experience through being the national medical director of Heel USA, and published research in measured outcomes in the healthcare field.

To this end, I have created a free-standing adobe facility in Corrales New Mexico to provide multidisciplinary healthcare options based on measured outcome results for a targeted and experienced approach to chronic and early disease states. By addressing the basic components associated with robust health, we target the needs of a motivated clientele.

Our medical staff is skilled with primary care, and are clear when primary care is NOT the best option for the issue with which you may be grappling. For clients who are committed to a better health perspective in their lives, Designed Health Options’ goal is to help you in attaining a greater “healthspan” without compromising lifespan. We are proud to be your primary medical care provider, and will commit to helping you succeed.
